Brewery description
- Fernson Brewing Company is proud to use Sioux Falls water. It is regarded as very high quality water for brewing. The only things we filter out are chlorine and chloramine. - The brewery currently uses a 30-barrel system. - The mill in the brewery is from RMS, a company located in Harrisburg, SD. - Hops used in Fernson beers are sourced from the Pacific Northwest. - Barley is sourced from a malthouse in Minnesota and Wisconsin. - Yeast is sourced from the Pacific Northwest; however, a local lab in Sioux Falls is currently attempting to isolate a native South Dakota yeast. - Fernson’s current production capacity is 4500 barrels annually.
